Evocative of a bygone era

The coronavirus lockdown in 2020 allowed Vanessa time to reflect on the past: "I have formative memories of winning a 'Tiny Garden in a Shell' prize for my pressed wildflower collection when aged 8. Studying closely the beautiful shapes of flowers and leaves has stayed with me and is expressed here in the Botanical designs."

This collection is reminiscent of the first 'indiennes' - softly coloured hand-blocked cottons, which were introduced into France from India at the end of the 16th century, and were immediately popular.

Please note that this entire collection is printed on Plain Oyster. It is a completely different cloth from any other that we have printed on before, so we would suggest ordering a sample beforehand to check for colour references/suitability.
