Capturing the beauty of Scandinavian landscapes

As its name suggests, the Scandi Wovens Collection draws strong inspiration from Scandinavian design. The collection features four woven designs, each available in a choice of colourways. Lapland Stripe reflects the simple landscapes and rural life of the Sami people in Lapland, while Scandi Stripe has a cleaner, more contemporary feel. Nordic Stripe evokes the warmth of wood-panelled interiors and cosy log fires, and Malmo is a striking striped Linen Union fabric featuring oranges and blues, finished with a beautifully embroidered motif that is particularly suited to curtains.

Vanessa has always loved the colour, texture and character of woven fabrics, from the individual spun yarns to the natural handle of the cloth. Designing the twelve Scandinavian woven fabrics in this collection has been an inspiring and rewarding process.

The Scandinavian fabrics are hand-woven IKAT prints, and as a result the pattern may appear irregular or vary slightly throughout the fabric. Unlike a printed design, the repeat is not always perfectly consistent. Please bear this in mind when pattern matching, as these natural variations are a characteristic of the collection.
