The benefits of eco-friendly fabric

All of our fabrics are eco-friendly because we buy certified organic cotton combined with eco-friendly flax, to create our unique Linen Union which is used for all of our printed fabrics.

We believe we are the only company that uses truly sustainable upholstery fabrics. This is because Vanessa was shocked to discover the production methods behind non-organic cotton make it one of the world’s dirtiest crops to grow. It relies on the use of heavy pesticides which are hazardous to human and animal health. Pesticide use has serious and adverse effects on biodiversity and can contaminate local water supplies.

Having lived in the Cotswolds for over 35 years, Vanessa is committed to working with local, specialist and highly skilled craftspeople to make all our bespoke products in the U.K.

We as a business are also of our responsibilities to the environment and are wholly committed to improving manufacturing processes in line with helping to provide sustainable interiors. We choose to work only with ethical and accredited suppliers and we make business decisions based on the impact on the wider, global environment. As a company, we source our electricity from renewable resources, this shows that we support the generation of renewable energy.
