What colour would you describe your Teal as being?

There are of course many different shades of blue as with all colours; from the cooler shade of Cornflower and Indigo, to the softer shades of Powder blue and Speedwell. Teal however, takes its name from a bird named the 'Common Teal', which has a Teal stripe on its head. As for its colour, Teal is a mixture of blue and green. It can be mixed with white to make it lighter, or with grey for the reverse effect.

Teal curtain fabric is warmer than Cornflower, Indigo and Denim, which contains a little bit more yellow. It turns towards the greens making it a popular choice for warmer curtain tones in day rooms, like kitchens. What other colours do my Teal made to measure curtains work well with?

There are many other colours you can team with Teal curtains! Lime Green, Raspberry red, Pumpkin, and Marigold oranges, as well as Damson pinks, are just a few examples that spring to mind. These are all warm colours which complement Teal blue fabric so well. 

When choosing your Teal blue Made to Measure curtains, blinds or upholstery, try mixing larger prints with spots and stripes, all colourfully coordinated to bring your home to life. The Cow Parsley print is quite popular, where there sits a Pigeon coloured butterfly on the head of the wildflower. This Pigeon can be used as a secondary colour in your room, thus introducing more designs to your scheme. An example and good coordinate would be the Pretty Maids - Pigeon, Teal and Winter.

If you order a half metre returnable sample you can drape it over an existing chair or pin it to your present curtains and see how it looks. We hold a good stock of all our fabrics ensuring delivery is usually within 3-5 working days, with an overnight service available by phone call request.
